

About Me:

As an NSCA educated Personal Trainer, I've trained individuals to improve their overall fitness and to build muscle mass. Most recently I've developed and implemented strength programs for teenage baseball teams I'm currently the strength coach for the Winter Park High School Baseball Program. I am passionate about coaching and training and I am committed to the safe and successful physical development of all of my athletes and clients.

TEAM TRAINING
Team training can be done with small groups within the studio or with larger groups and entire teams on the practice field itself. Options include proper warm-up techniques, strength / power, agility, speed, and balance / core stabilization. Team training can also emphasize overall athletic or sport specific training.
INDIVIDUAL TRAINING
Goal oriented programs are developed for each individual with safety and efficiency in mind. The equipment within the studio itself allows for flexible and varied workouts. Additionally, many exercises can be conducted outdoors. Equipment is sanitized between workouts and I am committed to wearing a face coverings when training.

I have known Doug Thomas for 4 years after coaching his two sons in travel baseball. The team was comprised of 13 year old boys coming off the smaller, recreational type field, and moving to the larger, high school and beyond, baseball field.

Hello my name is BJ Calapa and I am the parent of a high school baseball player in the Winter Park area. I would recommend trainer Doug hands-down if you are looking for your player to increase their speed and agility in combination with overall core strength, mental approach and nutrition.
My son Breydan dramatically increased his size and strength due to the workout techniques that trainer Doug specifically designed for his specific needs. Breydan’s overall core power and strength increased exponentially which in turn allowed him to hit the ball significantly farther and throw the baseball hard with minimal effort.
Trainer Doug was a pivotal turning point in my sons ability to make the transition to the big field and play competitively with the big boys. It’s one thing to have the skills to play baseball but in this day and age without getting bigger, faster and stronger, it’s really hard to keep up with the competition.
